As Chief CRNA, you will create and foster a positive, collaborative environment with the new CRNA team. Description
Looking to grow their CRNA team, Exeter Hospital is a level 3 trauma center located in Exeter, New Hampshire. This community-based practice offers an anesthesia care-team model, embracing an excellent work-life balance and collegial environment. CRNAs practice with autonomy and are encouraged to practice to the full scope of their license, being comfortable with pediatrics is preferred. The Chief CRNA will serve as a clinical coordinator for nearby nurse anesthesia programs that have clinical rotations at Exeter Hospital.
Exeter is conveniently located, being less than an hour from Boston and Portland, which is great for commuters within the family. Exeter is located next to the seacoast, and within close distance of the mountains. This superb location is the quintessential place for both summer water sports and winter snow sports. There is great access to outdoor activities and notable schools, such as Phillips Exeter Academy. Also, Boston's Logan airport is only an hour away for more extensive travel. It is considered a great place for family living and community. There is no state income tax or sales tax.

Shifts
8 and 10 hour shifts available.
Beeper-call for nights and weekends.
Potential for additional income pending number of calls taken.

Elizabeth Gooding, DNP, APRN, CRNA—Advanced Practice Anesthesia Director
Prior to joining NAPA, Elizabeth Gooding served as an Advanced Practice Anesthesia Director for American Anesthesiology for the Mid-South region.
Upon joining NAPA in 2020, Elizabeth assumed an integral role as a Chief Anesthetist in Raleigh, NC. Today, she is a part of the NAPA regional leadership and serves as the Advanced Practice Anesthesia Director for the Northeast Region.
Advanced Practice Anesthesia (APA) leaders are unique to NAPA. As an integral part of our regional infrastructure, APA directors are Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists who foster stability and collaboration among local facilities and teams throughout our organization. In her role, Elizabeth supports the Northeast region as a voice for local clinicians, along with being a leader who hears, understands, and values those on our clinical team.
Team Highlights
CRNAs work in a care-team model and have the ability to practice with autonomy. CRNAs are encouraged to practice full scope with options to perform regional anesthesia (spinal and blocks).

Responsibilities
- Pre-anesthesia assessment
- Obtains and/or verifies patient consent
- Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient
- Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
- Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition
- Performance of clinical intervention as needed
Requirements
- Current license as a registered professional nurse
- Graduation from an accredited program of nurse anesthesia education
- Certified or recertified by the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists
- Leadership experience preferred
