Full-time 1099 anesthesiologist position with Victor Valley Global Medical Center, a friendly environment in the California’s high desert

Victor Valley Global Medical Center, founded in 1967, is a 101-bed acute care hospital and premier healthcare facility in Victorville, a community in the high desert. Case Assignments
Variety of cases, including regional anesthesia, orthopedic, regional blocks, and OB. Most cases are ASA 1-2. No chronic pain management, cardiac, major vascular anesthesia, pediatric anesthesia, neuroanesthesia, trauma anesthesia, critical care medicine, usually anesthesia for outpatient surgery, office-based anesthesia, rarely administrative/leadership duties, no pre-op screening clinic or acute pain.
Shifts
OR call is four to six calls a month. Anesthesiologist on first call: flexible, both first and backup call receive stipends.

Responsibilities
- Assist in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia Department
- Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures
- Pre-anesthesia assessment
- Obtains and/or verifies patient consent
- Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
- Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition
- Performance of clinical intervention as needed
Requirements
- M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine
- ECFMC and FLEX
- Completion of approved Residency in Anesthesia
- Currently licensed as a Physician
