Riverside Doctors’ Hospital Williamsburg is a short-term acute care facility with 33 medical and surgical rooms, 40 licensed private rooms, and seven intensive care rooms. The voluntary nonprofit facility represents the commitment to the Williamsburg, VA, region. The hospital was designed and constructed to engender a patient-centered focus. Set on an attractively landscaped 25-acre campus, Riverside Doctors’ Hospital is a 100,000-square-foot, two-story building. It is situated within Quarterpath, a larger, multiuse development.

Responsibilities
- Assist in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia Department
- Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures
- Pre-anesthesia assessment
- Obtains and/or verifies patient consent
- Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
- Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition
- Performance of clinical intervention as needed
Requirements
- M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine
- ECFMG and FLEX
- Completion of approved residency in anesthesia
- Currently licensed as a physician
