Chartered in 1804, Candler Hospital is Georgia’s first hospital, and the second oldest continuously operating hospital in the United States. This 384-bed facility is affiliated with the Methodist Church and offers comprehensive primary care, outpatient services, and other specialty services.
St. Joseph's Hospital has been part of this growing community since 1934, caring for generations of patients of all ages. Extremely skilled and experienced physicians, including those with national and international reputations, cover more than 70 specialties—such as surgery, internal medicine, neurology, and cardiology. A new six-story tower with 90 private patient rooms features a covered drop-off entrance and convenient ground-floor registration for patients.
Our practice has served the Southeast Georgia market for more than 60 years and provides anesthesia services at St. Joseph’s/Candler Hospitals, Effingham Hospital in Springfield, GA, and several ambulatory surgery centers

- Obtains and/or verifies patient consent
- Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient
- Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
- Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition
- Performance of clinical intervention as needed
Requirements
- Master’s Degree from an Accredited Anesthesiologist Assistant Program
- Complies with American Academy of Anesthesiologist Assistants licensure guidelines
