North American Partners in Anesthesia is seeking an experience board certified anesthesiologist to serve as a Medical Director at OrthoVirginia in Richmond. Candidates must have proficiency in regional anesthesia and the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with the leadership of OrthoVirginia as we expand our case volume and total joint services.
OrthoVirgina is the largest Orthopedic group in Virginia, employing over 130 physicians at 32 locations across the state. This surgical operatory has 3 operating rooms and performs over 2000 cases per year currently with the intent to expand volume and outpatient total joint replacement surgeries in 2023.

Routine outpatient orthopedics, with a focus of expanding a new outpatient total joint program including shoulders, knees, and hips.

Requirements
Responsibilities
- Assist in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia Department
- Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures
- Pre-anesthesia assessment
- Obtains and/or verifies patient consent
- Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
- Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition
- Performance of clinical intervention as needed
Requirements
- M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine
- ECFMG and FLEX
- Completion of approved residency in anesthesia
- Currently licensed as a physician
